The National Bioengineered Disclosure Law was signed by president Obama on July 29, 2016. The law gives USDA 2 years to develop the details for food manufactures to comply with disclosure and gives the agency quite a bit of leeway in exactly how to implement the law. Greg Jaffe, the biotechnology director for the Center for Science in the Public Interest discusses how USDA might choose to implement the provisions of the law in this article.
Mr. Jaffe has visited NC State several times and will be visiting again this fall during the week of October 23. Read more about Greg Jaffe.
