New Wheat Genetic Advancements Aimed at Yield Enhancement

Texas A&M scientists are making progress finding where key traits are in the wheat genome and how to access them. Their goal is to utilize this information to develop higher yielding varieties that have more stress resilience. The information could also accelerate bringing in resistance of such pests greenbug and wheat curl mite into new varieties.
