GM Potatoes Offer 80% Reduction in Chemical Control

Potatoes genetically engineered to be resistant to Phytophthora infestans or late blight. The disease that caused the Irish potato famine still threatens potato production globally. Wageningen UR scientists in the Netherlands engineered the potato and reports that it requires 80% less fungicide applications.
